West Palm Beach, FL – January 30, 2006 – After discovering new information on Iran’s tensions with Israel, the United States, and the rest of the world, 2008 Presidential Candidate Daniel Imperato stepped up and called for a peaceful resolution on the matter.

“The situation in Iran has heated up to, what I believe is, a dangerous level of rhetoric and inappropriate actions by and between Ahmadinejad and the rest of the world. I call on Ahmadinejad to once again realize that any type of war or friction involving his country is no good for society, no good for his people, and no good for the world,” stated Imperato.

Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and his government have stated that their nuclear efforts are for civilian energy purposes only.

“I ask President Ahmadinejad to be understanding and considerate to the fact that he needs to prove to the world that his nuclear desires must be only for civilian energy. The problem that the world has with the Iran and its leadership is that a nuclear weapon in the hands of the Iranians appears to be, for the region, a dangerous situation,” expressed Imperato.

What has been difficult for the world to conceive is why Iran would seriously need nuclear energy when it is already rich in natural resources.

What has been difficult for Iran to conceive is why they should stay still when the United States of America and Israel have been discussing a possible attack on Iran since 2001.

Imperato pointed out that strained US relations with Iran have only gone to further tensions.

“The world should know, and the people of the United States of America should know, that when the Iranian leader stepped into office as president he was called a killer and subsequently was exonerated but was never apologized to,” explained Imperato.

“Picking on Iran is an improper, aggressive situation that must stop by the US, its administration, and the administrations around the world. Iran is a beautiful country and has wonderful people. There are also Iranian people living all over the globe, including the United States of America,” said Imperato.

The first step that Imperato suggested was for the US to collaborate with the United Nations, El Baradei, the IAEA, and other nations to find a peaceful solution to the Iran situation, that allows Iran to utilize nuclear power but that protects the world.

Imperato also pointed out that many other countries have nuclear capabilities.

“The rest of the world has countries already who produce nuclear power who could as easily as Iran, erupt and use nuclear weapons. Although those countries are seen in the world to be stable countries, and have been accepted by the rest of the world to have credibility and restraint, it only takes one person to push a button,” stated Imperato.

Then in the most revealing part of his statement, Imperato revealed that he has viewed unconfirmed documents that reveal the United States’ true intentions with Iran.

“I bring to the attention of the people around the world to look at specific documentation pertaining to plans and actions that have been written pertaining to the potential attack on Iran by Israel and the United States. I find this information appalling. I find this information inappropriate. I believe that if any country in the world had the ability to read the information pertaining to the sites that are about to be disclosed to you clearly laying out plans of attack, I believe that any country would stand up and protect itself and its interests.”

“I call on the people of the world, the administration, and President George W. Bush to look at www.globalresearch.ca and the articles complied by Michael Chossudovsky. The documents and articles quoted by the organization looks at CIA Director Porter Goss on his mission to Ankara, Turkey, to support the clear attack by Israel at the end of March. Israel and the US have been making these plans since 2001. Look at www.globalsecurity.org, which further elaborates these plans. I urge the people of the world to take a look at this documentation which I feel is dangerous information that is directly available on the internet,” explained Imperato.

Imperato clearly stated that he has not received an official CIA briefing on these topics and has not verified all of the documents obtained by third-party organizations.

Yet, the fact that these documents and research exists only goes to show the world what type of alert that Iran is under based upon these reports.

“If I was a leader of a foreign country, and read this type of information that is readily available to the people of the world over the internet, I would immediately prepare to defend myself.”

“These articles and these documents also show that the nuclear weapons that have already been manufactured, go deep below the surface of the ground, can also be used against Russia or China. There are declassified reports stating that these nukes penetrate deep underground,” stated Imperato.

Imperato strongly suggested that the US rethink its plans with Iran, and realize that if their plans are those reflected by the above named organizations, those plans are a detriment to peace and stability around the world.

“I call on our administration and our president to try to embrace the leader of Iran and to talk to him face-to-face, man-to-man, to discuss the issues at hand and to bring about peace in front of the people of the world.”

“I am not sure if the information that I am describing to have been fully authorized or completely correct but what I do know is that the information that I have disseminated in this press release makes me very concerned. It also makes me feel that plans have been in action which is triggering a reaction from the Iranian leadership and its neighbors.”

Imperato finished his statement with the following: “I call on the leader of Iran to realize that Israel can be a good ally and bring peace stability to the region. I call on the leadership of both Israel and Iran to step up and make peace not war. I call on our administration and our President George W. Bush to second the motion to endorse the plan and to command a peaceful resolution to a problem that is getting out of hand.”
